Re: M30W++ GUI Toolkit? (which one should I ussse?)

Don't know what Qt4 is...

And I only know wxWidgets is in C++... and the point is that it is cross-plat... so not .NET...and certainly not console :D

Ok... What is M30W++? Dont tell me your jumping M30W and just going straight to the edited version? Remember what i told you , when i was talking about all the different stages of M30W, i wasn't talking about what they were programed in!

M30W++ is the cpp version of M30W, just like CPPE was the cpp version of Emerald.

GTK+ is most common. Actually, GTK+ and Qt. wx sucks. Take GTK+.

Why do we need a CPP version? Id class CPP as outdted snce there is C#, but CPP is better for making video games (DARK GDK) So, please can we just stick to one, maybe two at the most,  projects.

Do not underestimate C++. Since there is new, .NET version, this might be good stuff.

According to Microsoft, it's in the same position as a C#, but "with more horsepower"

Re: M30W++ GUI Toolkit? (which one should I ussse?)

I might be coding it in C with GTK+, because GTKmm(the c++ port of gtk+) looks more complex. And because C isn't so different anyway.

Who needs object orientation anyways?

But then won't it be called CM30W or M30W-gtk?

Because the ++ wouldn't make any sense.

Re: M30W++ GUI Toolkit? (which one should I ussse?)

Im currently learning C# and C++, C# because i think its a good starting point, and C++ because its a great way of making video games, iv got the 2008 Express edition, and the Dark GDK pack to start me off, i need to find a way to make the files for it, but im excited about it. Plus fanofcena asked me to help out with his Pirates game, which is kinda like a mod of POC, but using it as a base and changing it. ...im hungry...

Lol, this should be interesting, post the flowchart so we know how you did it. I read flowcharts better than just code, especialy when i dont understand the language it was coded in.
