Floppy's job currently is to replace Emerald 0.3's current programming method with a notepad, and make it readable by Diamond.

Re: Forum Chat Room

Well, whoever comes out with a new version of Emerald and gets it officialed by me, then the other will have to wait or be added into the new version, this is how it will now work.

Because you code the Emerald project it in text, not blocks.

A text-based program can have a graphic-based output.

Re: Forum Chat Room

actually, it would be easier for emerald to be coded in blocks like scratch than text. graphics are proving hard to include when every step has another question that the user needs to answer. :/

Re: Forum Chat Room

that being said, graphics are still coming along slowly. 7th grade is much more work than 6th. :D

Re: Forum Chat Room

It's a higher level... But if we work hard, we can get it done. I think we really should restart...

In a way, I have to agree.

You said something about switching the code to def( )s?

Just use a text editor to edit Python files.

If you need syntax highlighting, then update Python to the latest and there should be a text editor for Python files; IDLE. Or is that on Windows only...?
