An Interesting Thought

<Technically speaking of course>

http://www3.gershmer.net/emeraldteam/cppe/vbemerld.zip

This is our most advanced.

It uses the same old print/ask, and only print works.

But you can program in a text box, not the console

FYI, the M30W syntax in vbemerld (this is the way it was spelled) is

Code:

print hi

not

Code:

print "hi"

Also fyi. windows only.

:D
that is the general syntax, but yeah, I should probably learn more VB so I can actually program properly in it.

The point of, uh, m30w, I think is to be able to program graphical programs, easily, with no difficult syntax issues and stuff.

Eventually we'll need to make some standards.
so far, the sources of VBemerld, and M30W++(text version)  are compatable, but someone should try and make some rough standards.

*EDIT* wait... what was your interesting thought?

Re: An Interesting Thought

My interesting thought was that our best work was vbemerld0.5.8ish.

It can program stuff WITHOUT THE CONSOLE AND THEN ACTUALLY RUN THE PROGRAM

You could probably port VB to C++ if you searched the internetz for a while.

Yes.... That MAY work..

I think VB is still better than Win32API that the C++ ported version will undoubtably use.

VB2010 beta project files are NOT compatible with older versions of VB.

Can you copy the code into VB2008?
