We need to find out how to do this without using .net to much.

The answer would be use Python.(Without a .NET extension, ex. IronPython Studio)

I'm learning JAVA applets now! It's kewl.(Check my page to see the applet i'm working on atm.(nothing special)

for instance, what do you see at:

gershmer.net/emerald/CPPE/

what does the java applet do??????

It's suppposed to do something.

eu, show the x and y positions in the bottom of the screen(status bar thingeh)

and when you click, it uh, reverses the bg color.

If it says CD in primitive line drawings, I'll explode.

you're talking about CPPE or emerald or vbemerald?

if it's VBemerald then the proper syntax is:

Code:

print hello

print hi

but the code interpreter isn't working yet, so it's a fancy uh, editor, I'm working on it

Re: Changes to make creating a GUI easier

I'm not  having code issues, technically it SHOULD work.

just because it ISNT working proves my way of thinking is WRONG.

I've been doing christmas-ey stuff lately, in the minus 30C weather.

it's a relatively sunny warm day today though.

Where on earth are you?!?!?!?! and yeah, iv just got back from a church Christmas party. The town/village/hamlet looks really Christmas-y with all the snow and annoying, yet good looking christmas lights, the house across the road looks like a ginger bread house.

Re: Changes to make creating a GUI easier

Changes to make creating a GUI easier:

CPPE, will now use GTK+ code::blocks, a cross platform library, and DevEnv

or, when I make the gui, I will.

yes

oh, but Some of gtk's features won't work in C++, soo, I'm having to write it in C.
not a big change, but C is 30 years older

Re: Changes to make creating a GUI easier

what about doing it like VBemerald? Do the gui in gtk+ and program the rest in C#, then Filo might be able to help out?
