Re: Diamond (Foremly Emerald+ Editor (Foremly Diamond))

There is no such thing as free domains.

There are tons of things like <name>.<whatever>.com, that are real websites, that have hosting, but not real domains for free.

I can not rename my domain name, or even cough up $.89 to buy a .info for emerald (emerald.info), mostly 'cause it's not my credit card. If I get an American Express/Visa Gift Card (that uses a credit card #) for my birthday (in January), then I'll glady buy you a domain. Or, I could just go buy one right now... maybe... if my parents think that it makes sense for someone to turn their cash into web-useable money. (credit card)

I never said free domain names, i said Add (i know theres an extra d) but i mean advert free.

Re: Diamond (Foremly Emerald+ Editor (Foremly Diamond))

There is a major pullback on development (Emerald+ Editor). I was forced to start over because that Microsoft's control destroyed all the main window. It was also an opportunity; I can re-design the application's core, to support projects, multiple open files and the Sprite/Stage editor featuring sounds and costumes/backgrounds.

Currently no development on Emerald website.

Marky: MintRiver is our company, like MIT but we're MintRiver, so we can have multiple projects made by the same people.

Re: Diamond (Foremly Emerald+ Editor (Foremly Diamond))

Are we going to have Gershmer get the domain and host, or should I host it?

Either way, we ALL need to decide on a name, once we have a variation of names, I'll post a Poll.

Re: Diamond (Foremly Emerald+ Editor (Foremly Diamond))

Back On Topic (BOT): I'm now doing things like Emerald selector, start page, text editor window. I'm re-designing the application to be multi-windowed. Like there are multiple windows in the main window.

Re: Diamond (Foremly Emerald+ Editor (Foremly Diamond))

ok, found some.

(only 1 year free) (No sub domain nonsense)
http://www.hostinglagoon.com/

(Not sure about this one. But its free hosting and domain, no sub domains)
http://free-name.org/

Found these here: http://www.free-webhosts.com/free-domain-hosting.php Theres a whole lot more, but none with just Domain and a reasonable hosting amount, without banners or pop-ups.

Re: Diamond (Foremly Emerald+ Editor (Foremly Diamond))

Is Emerald going to be a separate thing? Or are we going to make multiple uses and extensions to Scratch or make other programs?

Re: Diamond (Foremly Emerald+ Editor (Foremly Diamond))

Emerald is a core application. EmeraldPlayer is actually Emerald, bundled with some sample programs. EmeraldEasy is Emerald bundled with simple, cross-platform editor and sample programs. Emerald+ is now for Windows only due to .NET framework. Emerald+ is Emerald bundled with Emerald+ Editor, Express Help Library, sample programs and some advanced things (thinking about Emerald extensions, because Ruby has Gems (kind of extension) and Emerald will have... Ambers?). Now replace "is" with "will be".

Emerald+ Editor dev log: I kicked ribbons away. Slow, unreliable and pain to edit.

Alright. Error. Ran from the "from debugger" folder.
Clicked "Emerald+ Editor.exe" and immediately get error.

P3 : 4b11419e P4 : emerald+ editor P5 : 0.0.2.0 P6 : 4b11419e
P7 : 64 P8 : f P9 : system.io.filenotfoundexception

Also, the .csproj file is password protected.

What toolkit are you using? Or just pure winAPI?
