Re: Have Emerald as a .exe?

Windows compiling to exe:
http://Py2exe.org

Mac and linux come with python preinstalled, btw.

Really hard, fyi.

When Filo makes the installer, it'll automatically install all the necessary bundles and stuff.

(*.pyw is fine)

Re: Have Emerald as a .exe?

but once we know how to do it, its done isn't it?

Greshmer: dont forget that not everyone has macs or linuxs, so people have to download python, which we dont have to do with scratch, because its an .exe

Re: Have Emerald as a .exe?

I told you.

Filo is making a Windows installer that automatically installs Python, when you install Emerald/EmeraldEasy/Emerald Player/Emerald+ Editor

Re: Have Emerald as a .exe?

just one thing actualy, you cant give python files new icons (or .ico) iv tried it, it only works with .exe's and shortcuts. So unless you want to have the proper one hidden, and just have the shortcut viewable.

Re: Have Emerald as a .exe?

How about C++

DUN DUN DUUUUUUUN.

I know. everybody doubts my competence at programming in C++.
All I need is someone with a little knowledge of how cpp works, so they can help debug and stuff

Re: Have Emerald as a .exe?

If I have something to work with, I can program in it. :D So if you give me a starter script in Assembly Language, I could probably work in it. :D

Re: Have Emerald as a .exe?

Actually, assembly isn't as hard as you would think. It's just very, very different than most programming languages

Re: Have Emerald as a .exe?

The problem is, we don't know C++. I know C#, Gershmer kinda knows C#, and the rest knows Python...

Re: Have Emerald as a .exe?

I'm learning Perl. ^.^ Any ways, I learned how to network in Python, so I can get Emerald to connect to another Emerald. ^.^ But I think we should restart from scratch, so we can get everything organised, cause I barely understand the coding right now, we need to clean up Emerald so I can add networks.
