Re: Try new Emerald Website!

v0.3a is not 0.3 alpha.

It is v0.3, but with a complete team members list.

Anyway, nice site.

Re: Try new Emerald Website!

Also:

-You forgot floppy_gunk! The whole creator of 0.3. (well, he built off magnie, coolstuff's, and I think your code)
-You forgot coolstuff! If I remember right, he helped with 0.2.
-You should put this at the bottom of each page:

Code:

<a href=http://adblockplus.org/>This site is viewed best with AdBlockPlus</a>

'Cause my site is viewed best with AdBlockPlus, blocks the GoDaddy banner.

Re: Try new Emerald Website!

One more thing.
You can redo mine and Magnie's pages in the style of the rest of the site.
(Just convert mine to text, and add that gray background to all)

I can remake the Opal.htm thing.

http://www.ie7pro.com/download.php

Adblocking in IE7.

http://community.winsupersite.com/blogs … ilter.aspx

IE8 already comes with an adblock-type-thing.

Re: Try new Emerald Website!

because I kinda left it there when I couldn't establish FTP from VisualStudio. I'm now studying for Science GCSE (first GCSE! yay!), plus opened a blog where I review films that suck. So yeah, there are some reasons why I'm not doing it right now.

Re: Try new Emerald Website!

Yay! New site is in place! Quicksand font doesn't work, though. Returns 404. Gersh, please allow OTF files.
Also, if you look at it with Firefox 3.5 or Opera 10...

I  can't allow OTF files, that's godaddy being a pain.

Also, I can tell it's not done.

But...why are both outgoing links AND current pages red?

Here are links to the fonts that will work:

http://dl.dropbox.com/u/6646746/filo/Quicksand_Bold.otf

http://dl.dropbox.com/u/6646746/filo/Qu … blique.otf

http://dl.dropbox.com/u/6646746/filo/Quicksand_Book.otf

http://dl.dropbox.com/u/6646746/filo/Qu … blique.otf

http://dl.dropbox.com/u/6646746/filo/Quicksand_Dash.otf

http://dl.dropbox.com/u/6646746/filo/Qu … _Light.otf

http://dl.dropbox.com/u/6646746/filo/Qu … blique.otf

Swap the old for these in the CSS file.

But...

It LOOKS like Quicksand_Bold was already working.

Re: Try new Emerald Website!

Nope. Just slows the page down. Try editing server config (if you can) to allow OTF files - I'll try experimenting with absolute paths.

And what you're seeing is Trebuchet MS.

Re: Try new Emerald Website!

Anyway, did you see the rounded edges and drop shadow thing? It's all CSS. There's no graphics in it. All CSS. IE renders it as a rectangle.

Is it possible to add lines to Web.config (IIS equiv. of .htaccess, diff. syntax, though) to allow files?

I love what you did to it. One idea. Let's make the Forums link on the sidebar lead to the Non-Dev forums. OK, new rule, they are not called the non-dev forums anymore. They are the user forums. This is the dev forums. Have the Forums link lead to the user forums.

I think it is possible to add it. Do you have your current web.config? see what's up with OTF files, because they return 404.

Ok, fixed the forums link to go to the user forums. I had no idea how easy it was.
