GUI + Opal

The-Whiz, how hard would it be to make Opal like Emerald 0.3? Programming in the console, running in the GUI window.

That was the ultimate goal, but it Program in the console, run in the GUI is where we left off in Emerald 0.3. We at least want to catch up Opal before running ahead.

Ok... I'll take a look, too.

The Emerald 0.3 file will help a lot.

The Emerald 0.3 py file should be pretty straightforward, for the most part.

What in specific are you looking for?

http://www.pythonware.com/library/tkinter/introduction/

A good Tkinter tutorial.

From just chapters 1-3 you learn all your basic stuff.

Re: GUI + Opal

You should have everything in one window, like frames, ( like in Scratch ), so everything isn't over lapping and that stuff.

Someone else can do it, using the current 0.3 version of Opal... I don't really get it.

OK. We need to switch to PyGame because it is the best Sprite-coding GUI module for Python. Tkinter can not do sprites, which we need. So go forth and PyGame it.
