(Sticky Pending) Official CPPE Topic

C++ Emerald Official Site

UPDATE:
M30W++'s (and my) website is now up 'n running! With PHP + MySQL too!

Linux port being linked to now
I've decided NOT to rewrite CPPE and simply rewrite what I need to. I changed how It saved its files, and I've made it able to open them for once...
Updates:
0.2.8b
Added a welcoming message.
open function returns # of lines in program.
save function saves the # of lines at first, instead of last.
adding a try....catch blocks to the open  + save functions.
Working name:
M30W++

Download Latest (0.2.8a): Direct (Gershmer.net) or MediaFire(0.27a)
Linux(0.2.7): Direct (gershmer.net)

VBemerld:

direct link(v0.5)

This is the official CPPE topic.

Latest version: CPPE v0.2.8a

Functions:

Code:

Print- prints stuff --- Subfunctions
answer: entering print, and then at the what do you want to print prompt, put answer, requires your program to have ASK and to have been ran once so there is an answer to insert. Not practical, but fun to play around with
                             question: similar to answer, but you do not need to run your program. It prints out a question, without prompting the user for
                              the answer.

ASK- Asks the user a question.

save - Saves the program, with filename prompt. currently no spaces allowed in filename, but that can be fixed. saves only 2 of seven databases so far.

open - Non functional, sure it's pretty though. I'd like to know if there is anyone who would like to help me program open.

exit- self explanatory

new - clears all variables. new program/ project.

v0.2.7b: with source: Direct (Gershmer.net) or MediaFire

Any offers to help with the GUI, and/or the open function are welcome.

Re: (Sticky Pending) Official CPPE Topic

Wait, were you doing the thing where you go like, type ask, insert a question, then type print, and question, because  that just crashed on me for some reason.

Re: (Sticky Pending) Official CPPE Topic

Let me suggest something.

Adding a drop down menu so you can easily add new parts to the script. Like click on the one you want, then it adds it self to the list of code.

Good idea? or bad one?

Re: (Sticky Pending) Official CPPE Topic

good idea, and should be easy too!

in VB, would be:

Code:

On_click(.net generated stuff im not going to copy down) sub

RichTextBox1.Text.AppendText("print")

end sub

and so on and soforth

Ah well, it's fairly easy.

DONE!

site updated.

it'll take longer than a minute to program the popup to add the prompt to add the data automatically, but, I do only have so much free tim-

speaking of which, this was the last day of school b4 christmas break. sooooo.

YAY!

Re: (Sticky Pending) Official CPPE Topic

Oh yeah, I'm a making a new version of cppe that's cross platform. too bad it's coded in C now.

I'll post the source code and stuff later, all you need to have is Either Code::Blocks with GTK and GCC or GCC and GTK

all are cross-platform, HAPPY NOW?

It runs, but first I get a black screen, then a command line (not full screen) with a few random digits and symbols.

Re: (Sticky Pending) Official CPPE Topic

Well, that's probably what happens when I use a programming language with only 8 commands. and the german compiler.

aw, well i've found the english 32 bit version:

and compiled it:

http://www.mediafire.com/?egctkmzoyg3

http://www.mediafire.com/?4zd2llgmmiq

one of them is the source code

just open it in a text editor, I guarantee that you won't be able to figure out what it means until I tell you what language it is.

Re: (Sticky Pending) Official CPPE Topic

thats a wierd language, and the program doesn't work.

Code:

>
+++ +++ +++ +++
[< +++ +++ >-]<. prints H

> +++++ +++++ +++++ +++++ +++ sets the second 'variable to 23
[>+++<-]>. prints E
<+++ +++ +++ +++ +++ +++ +
[>>+++ + <<-]>>.. prints L''' twice

<< +
[ >>> +++ +++ +++ +++ +++
+++ +++ +++ +++ +++
+++ +++ +++ +++ +++
+++ +++ +++ +++ +++
+++ +++ +++ +++ +++
+++ + <<<-]>>>. prints O

<<<+++ +++ ++
[
>>> >++++<<< <-]>>> >. thus prints a new space

<<< <
+++ +++ +++
+++ +++ +++
+++ +++ +++ ++
[>>> >>+++<<< <<-]>>> >>. prints a W
<<< << +++ +++ +++
+++ +++ +++
+++ +++ +++
+++ +++ +++ +
[>>> >>> +++ <<< <<<-]>>> >>>.
<<< <<<

+++ +++ +++
+++ +++ +++
+++ +++ +++
+++ +++ +++
+++ ++
[>>> >>> > ++ <<< <<< <-]>>> >>> > . prints out an R
<<< <<< < +++ +++ +++
+++ +++ +++ +
[
>>> >>> >> +++ + <<< <<< << -
]
>>> >>> >> . prints an L

<<< <<< << +++ +++ +++ +++ +++ ++
[
>>> >>> >>> +++ + <<< <<< <<< - ] >>> >>> >>> . prints a D

Re: (Sticky Pending) Official CPPE Topic

it doesn't?!

Are you sure?

I spent a whole hour writing it.

I used 3 different interpreters and a Compiler.

meh, I just made another program, that converts five lower case letters into upper case( but not the other way round)

I'm just using brain lang to hone my  skills.

I've started an emerald interpreter.

http://www.mediafire.com/?4mw3jmkmojk

IT ACUTALLY works atm.

except for ask and variables.

and printing variabels.

and it doesnt need a quit or new option

it's completely redesigned. than the other gui I tried to make(which has had a partial breakthrough too)

Re: (Sticky Pending) Official CPPE Topic

Triple post(wow)

okelidokeli, I've a new thing.

the visual basic M30W interpreter 0.3a

features:
loading and saving
print.
INPUTTING COMMANDS WITHOUT ACTUALLY TYPING VIA THE EDIT/ADD COMMAND MENU
actually interpreting the source code!

with the exception of :

addvariable, ask, random, quit, run, save, load, and all CPPE commands except for print.

but print works wonderfully

here

While it works with the FTP prefix, it isn't correct, because /cppe/ is really /emeraldteam/cppe/

So I edited your post

<triple post>

You need to add <title> tags to your website. (http://gershmer.net/emeraldteam/cppe/)

Also, you need to update your website for VBM3OW
